Well, hello there. At Discovery + Story, we’re ridiculously passionate about helping companies and organizations share their stories to get the results they want.
My own story started when my second grade teacher read us the poem “Invitation” from Where the Sidewalk Ends. I still remember the goosebumps on my arms. I decided in that moment, sitting on that rough red carpet, that I wanted to be a writer.
Since then, my journey with words has taken me to earn a master’s degree in teaching creative writing as well as publishing my own fiction and poetry. I earned a degree in marketing along the way, and I’ve been using this unique combination of business strategy and creative writing to help companies communicate externally and internally for more than 15 years.
With three small business owners in my family, I’ve had a front row seat to the passion and pride that goes into running your own company. But, I’ve also seen the paralyzing amount of work and overwhelm when you need to do it all yourself, especially if you don’t consider yourself to be a strong writer or presenter.
